Buffalo Bills pick up an offseason AFC East win before the 2025 NFL Draft without lifting a finger

The Buffalo Bills are focused on making themselves better, but it never hurts when a division rival inarguably gets worse.

Buffalo Bills pick up an offseason AFC East win before the 2025 NFL Draft without lifting a finger

For the Miami Dolphins, who had a, shall we say, "rocky" 2024 season, their plans going into 2025 will suddenly need some adjusting. Star left tackle Terron Armstead, who made five Pro Bowls in his 12-year career with the New Orleans Saints and the Dolphins, has decided to hang it up.

Armstead has been a staple on the offensive line for the Dolphins over the last handful of years. While other positions have been rocky, he's been the cornerstone that they could depend on. Now, with a quarterback in Tua Tagovailoa that desperately needs to be kept upright, Miami will need to take a hard look at their offensive line and figure out how to put the best group possible on the field.

For the Bills, it's good news. Arguably the top threat in the division just lost their top offensive lineman. As the Bills look to improve their pass rush, potentially welcoming a couple of rookies into the fold in the 2025 NFL Draft, it should be a bit easier to get after Tagovailoa in the backfield.

In Week 9 last season, when the Dolphins visited Orchard Park, Armstead pitched a shutout at left tackle. He allowed no pressures and no sacks on 31 pass block reps.

Buffalo inked Greg Rousseau to a 4-year contract extension this offseason, but will almost assuredly add to the defensive line, potentially both on the interior and on the edge, in the 2025 NFL Draft. When the Bills and Dolphins meet for the first time next season, it will be fascinating to see what the offensive line looks like that the Bills will attempt to attack.
