Alongside releasing a synopsis for the upcoming episode, NBC has also shared a sneak peek, previewing the state of affairs in the latest case to land on the desk of Intelligence. The clip begins with a worried-looking Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati) saying, "Those girls look younger than eighteen," as security footage shows a group of girls headed towards a parked car. Voight, soon after, announces to the team, "It's underage sex trafficking," which means it's all systems go, to bag the perpetrators. Adam Ruzek (Patrick Flueger) seems to have deciphered the girls' location, "This warehouse. The girls will be there right now with our offender," he says. However, it'd seem like Ruzek has decided to go at it alone, as the clip sees him trapped inside alone with a suspect with the pair engaged in a physical confrontation. Trapped within, his fiancée, Burgess, is outside the door, struggling to get in and offer assistance.
Wedding Bells Are Ringing
We are just a few episodes away from the Chicago P.D. Season 12 finale, and with it will come the highly anticipated Burzek wedding. While the wedding will be worth tuning in for, audiences will be forgiven for looking at what lies in the future beyond the ceremony. NBC is yet to officially renew the police procedural, but given that the show and its counterparts in the One Chicago universe have remained a ratings' juggernaut for the network, there is cause for much concern.
Tune in to NBC on Wednesdays to watch new episodes of Chicago P.D. and watch "Black Ice" on May 7. You can catch up with past episodes on Peacock.
