WNBA star Caitlin Clark has been turning heads at the Masters this weekend, and the trend continued after she made an unexpected connection with NFL MVP Josh Allen at Augusta National.
The Indiana Fever guard sat down with Kira Dixon for a 16-minute interview "Under the Umbrellas" at the famous golf tournament, which covered countless topics from Clark's outfits to her golf game.
A well-traveled sports fan, Clark said she would "probably put (the Masters) No. 1" when it comes to major American sports events, above others she has attended like the Super Bowl, the Final Four and watching the Kansas City Chiefs with Taylor Swift.
She revealed that one of the best moments of the 2025 edition was an interaction she had with Allen that showed a new side of the two superstars.

"The aspect of not having your phone is so unique," Clark said of the Masters' famous fan policy. "You can tell everybody is so invested and they're really just there to watch the greatness of the athletes. ... As a professional athlete, you can empathize with that."
After a standout NCAA career at Iowa, Clark was thrust into a role as face of the WNBA during her rookie season — whether she liked it or not. In the 2025 season, 41 of Clark's 44 games with the Fever will be nationally televised.
Clark's comment carried a longing tone, jealous of the purity of competition the golfers experience at Augusta National. The same could be said for Allen, the Buffalo Bills quarterback maligned for his postseason shortcomings and often swarmed by media over his love life involving fiancée Hailee Steinfeld.
"I just feel like a normal fan getting to follow on the course," Clark said. "Even talking to, I saw Josh Allen and Luke Combs and a few others last night. That’s what we all love about it."
Clark's interview is sure to create some online buzz, but overall, she is happy to be a little more off the grid as she follows the action at the Masters with fewer phones around.
The tournament will serve as a needed offseason reset for Clark and Allen. The Fever's training camp begins April 27, with their first WNBA game of the 2025 season tipping off May 17 against the Chicago Sky.
Allen has more time off to enjoy. Bills Optional Training Activities (OTAs) start April 21, but full practices do not begin until May 27, followed by mandatory minicamp June 10-12.
