Calls Mount for Aaron Boone's Firing After Yankees' Fourth Straight Loss

Not only have the New York Yankees dropped four straight games, but each loss came against the Toronto Blue Jays. Entering this four-game set with a three-game lead in the American League East division, New York now sits in second place, looking up at Toronto.

It was an all-around disastrous series for the Yankees, who were beaten in every facet of the game by Toronto. Thursday's game saw New York pitching surrender eight runs to the Blue Jays, with veteran outfielder George Springer driving in four of them.

This was the first time in Yankees history the team had suffered a four-game sweep in Toronto, per YES Network (h/t Talkin' Yanks).

While it feels like rock bottom for New York, the team is still just one game back of first place. That said, fans are demanding changes be made. More specifically, they want manager Aaron Boone gone for his role in the team's recent play.

Posting the final score, the Yankees received hundreds of replies within minutes. Many of them were calling for Boone to be fired.

"Fire Boone please," said one.

"Fire Boone and hire Donnie baseball," said another.

"As a Dodgers fan, Aaron Boone gotta go lol," an LA fan wrote.

"Pathetic. Fire Boone," said another.

"What needs to happen for Boone to get fired? Running away with the division early on to probably missing out on the playoffs at this rate," one added.

"Fire Boone for the love of the fans," said another. "we are tired of it "
