Cam Newton rejects Carolina in NFL Draft 'do-over' scenario

Cam Newton isn't shy when it comes to expressing his feelings. The Carolina Panthers legend was asked if he had a preferred NFL team to start his NFL career in today's games and the answer is shocking.

Newton threw up a Heisman stiff-arm to the Panthers in favor of the Dallas Cowboys.

On this week's 4th & 1 podcast, the former NFL MVP tried to explain why there's hype around the Lone Star State team and why he would want to be a part of it.

Newton had a standout career that started at Auburn. Many people forget his Florida days as a clipboard holder behind fellow Heisman winner Tim Tebow.

The Panthers' No. 1 overall pick of the 2011 NFL Draft went on to earn several accolades in his 11 NFL seasons. He threw for 32,382 yards with 194 touchdowns and 123 interceptions, leading Carolina to their last Super Bowl appearance.

If Newton was drafted by Jerry Jones and 'Dem Boys', he would likely have the same trajectory as Dak Prescott with a lack of weapons. The lights of AT&T Stadium burn bright, but it's not an ideal landing spot for a young QB having to play behind Prescott and his $105 million cap hit on the books.
