Buffalo going for fifth straight pre-season game against Columbus
The Buffalo Sabres enjoyed an excellent outing in Germany on Friday, posting a 5-0 victory over HC Red Bull Munich, with Sam Lafferty, Tage Thompson, Dylan Cozens, Jack Quinn, and JJ Peterka in his hometown.
The remainder of the Sabres training camp lineup continues their preseason schedule against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday night. Buffalo remained unbeaten at 4-0 as rookie Noah Ostlund scored in overtime in a 3-2 victory over the Ottawa Senators in Kanata, ON on Thursday.
The Sabres will be going with a lineup very similar to that against Ottawa and during the 2024 Prospects Challenge earlier in the month, highlighted by Ostlund, 2023 second-rounder Anton Wahlberg, 2024 first-rounder Konsta Helenius, and defensive prospect Vsevolod Komarov.
Veteran Felix Sandstrom played the entire game for Buffalo in the win on Thursday. With he and Scott Ratzlaff on the roster on Saturday, it is expected that the youngster will get some work for the Sabres in Columbus.
