Montreal Canadiens' prospect Jacob Fowler returned to action last night after serving his one-game suspension and it couldn't have gone better.
Montreal Canadiens' prospect Jacob Fowler was suspended for one game after punching a player who collided into him with his blocker on Nov. 15. As a result, he sat out Boston College's Nov. 19 game against Providence which his team needed overtime to beat 3-2.
Last night, Fowler was back in his net to take on the Northeastern Huskies who are having a tough season with only six points to their name in seven games.
The struggling Huskies tested Fowler 28 times but the goaltender was flawless stopping everything on his way to a 3-0 win and a fourth shutout in 10 games. In his rookie season, he managed three blanks in 39 games.
He now has a 8-1-0 record in 10 games, with a 1.39 goals-against average and a .949 save percentage. In a recent interview with Guillaume Lepage from NHL.com, Fowler said:
The Huskies will be looking for revenge tonight when the two teams faceoff for the second time in as many nights. While Fowler was on duty last night, chances are he'll still be in net tonight, he's played back-to-back games this season.
