Caroline Manzo’s Warning for Real Housewives of Rhode Island

Real Housewives of New Jersey alum Caroline Manzo isn’t fond of reality TV these days. Caroline hasn’t been part of RHONJ since the end of Season 5. Still, she isn’t shy about sharing her feelings about the positives and negatives of reality TV. Well, mostly the negatives. So, when a possible cast member reached out from Bravo’s new franchise, The Real Housewives of Rhode Island, Caroline spoke her truth.

Caroline Manzo said Real Housewives could “blow up your life”

Andy Cohen is extremely enthusiastic about RHORI, and has teased, “It’s really good, and they are Italian with a capital ‘I.’” So, Alexa Fraser, who is married to psychic medium Matt Fraser, got the call to be on RHORI. The couple previously starred in their own reality show on E!, Meet the Frasers.

Recently, Alexa was a guest on the podcast Beyond the Velvet Rope with David Yontef. She shared that she called her friend, Caroline, to get her opinion. “She blatantly said, ‘Do not do it. You will blow up your life,’” Alexa stated. Tell us how you really feel, Caroline! According to Caroline, the RHONJ producers once “cut my face and put it to a reaction that I didn’t really have.” She added that they even “snippeted my husband’s voice” to manufacture false cheating gossip.

Reportedly, Caroline even mentioned Teresa Giudice and Joe Giudice’s legal issue, bolstering her claim that the series could ruin families. “Those things are just not worth it,” Caroline allegedly said. Plus, Caroline felt that the stress from being on the show could have destroyed her family “if we weren’t as strong as we are.” In the end, Alexa decided that RHORI wasn’t the best fit for her because the show “would have broken us.”

Meanwhile, RHONJ star Dolores Catania, who was rumored to be making the jump to RHORI, shared that she isn’t a cast member. However, she may pop in for a visit, as she is friends with some of the cast.
