Cat Greene’s Explosive Spy History Comes to Light on ‘Days of Our Lives’

After one word set a million fan theories, Days of Our Lives has finally revealed how Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord ) knows Shane Donovan (Charles Shaughnessy).

Previously at John Black’s funeral Cat acknowledged Shane’s presence with the simple word “Director.” While passing by. Fan’s know that Shane is acting director for the I.S.A. (International Security Alliance), but this is the first acknowledgement that Cat may have a connection to the agency.

Today’s episode of Days of Our Lives saw Cat run into Shane and finally confront him. “Can you blame me for wanting to make run sure my employees were all on their toes keeping their wits about them.” Shane proclaimed as he met Cat. It was then that we learned what Cat’s role in the I.S.A. was, as she responded, “Former employees, I was never one of your field agents, being an analyst was plenty of danger for me thank you very much.”

As the two continued to talk we learned that Shane had been contacting Cat and she had been avoiding her calls. She wasn’t interested in returning into the ISA, “Yeah, well I am afraid you have no choice in the matter.” Shane told her.

We then learned a bit more about Cat’s background. “You know precisely what my time at the ISA cost me. I investigated Clyde Weston’s drug ring for you, I thought I was a nobody in intelligence, I wasn’t in the field what could be the danger, except I got burned. Sir, not only did I get burned, but my father was killed, and my mother was kidnapped and brainwashed.” Implying that Shane knew the entire time that she was Cat Green and not Abigail DiMera when she infiltrated the family.

Cat continued to press on why Shane needed her to be a part of the mission. “Because of your personal connection to the case.” The director said, “My personal connection to the case?” Cat asked. It was then that Shane revealed that due to Cat’s current position as Marlena’s assistant, working at the hospital, she was in the perfect position to help them take on E.J. DiMera. “The DiMera criminal enterprises have been on the ISA radar forever, but despite our best efforts we just haven’t been able to bring them down. But, now that Titan has recently taken over DiMera they are weakened, there is blood in the water, now is the time to really go for them.” Shane continued, “It’s obvious that EJ is the new honor, but the question is how did he come up with the funds to make the purchase, our intel tells us that there’s no way he could’ve come up with the money on his own. So who is his partner investor and what do they hope to gain? That’s what we need you to find out.”

Begrudgingly Cat agreed to assist Shane with the current mission, but this would be her last, and once this was wrapped up she said she wanted nothing to do with the I.S.A. but only time will tell if that is true.

Cat’s mission continues on Days of Our Lives streaming weekdays on Peacock.
