Catherine O'Hara has supporting roles in both HBO's The Last of Us, which is currently in its second season, and Apple's The Studio, a showbiz comedy created by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg. In The Last of Us, O'Hara plays the new season 2 character Gail, who is a psychotherapist and member of a community with Pedro Pascal's Joel and Bella Ramsey's Ellie. Gail, like the rest of the characters in The Last of Us, has lost loved ones to the vicious zombies that plague the Earth, known as "infected."

O'Hara also has a supporting role as Patty Leigh in The Studio, a former head of a movie studio who becomes a producer who works for Seth Rogen's Matt Remick. In The StudioPatty is a Hollywood producer who oversees the production of a handful of movies, particularly one directed by Academy Award-winner Sarah Polley (who plays herself in one of The Studio's various cameos that range from Anthony Mackie to Martin Scorsese). Patty was previously Matt's mentor before a turn of events left him with her job.

The Last Of Us & The Studio Are Very Different, But They Are Both Must-See TV Shows

Both Earned 96% Scores On Rotten Tomatoes

Apart from HBO's Hacks, last year's Emmy winner for Outstanding Comedy Series that earned a 100% Rotten Tomatoes score for its fourth season, The Last of Us and The Studio are the two highest-rated TV shows currently on TV, each earning a 96% on Rotten Tomatoes.

While both shows are essentially tonally opposite – one bleak and violent, the other hilarious and made for movie-lovers – both shows showcase O'Hara's acting range and talent. Similar to Walton Goggins recently starring in both The White Lotus and The Righteous Gemstones at the same time, Catherine O'Hara is poised to stir up some awards season buzz once again.
