Doug Receives Another Threat

Ari primps before coming into the Pub and flirts with Doug. As she waits for her food, she wonders why he hasn’t been returning her messages. When he assures her he’s not seeing anyone else, she suggests they meet in his room after his shift. He tries to put her off, but she persists. He relents and gives her his key.

Sophia’s Over Being Pregnant

In Sophia’s room, Tate marvels over the baby kicking so much. He’s going to miss feeling it. Sophia won’t miss getting kicked in the ribs. She’s so done with being pregnant and just wants to move on with their lives. Tate points out that they have to find someone to adopt their baby first. She tells him she found a lawyer who can help them. He hopes they find someone who can give their kid a great life and muses on what that might be. Sophia tries not to picture it.

In Sophia's bedroom, Tate stares hopefully. Behind him, a pregnant Sophia sits on her bed.

Amy comes to see if Sophia wants to go to dinner and a movie with the family. Sophia passes and Amy leaves, making sure to keep the door open. Sophia quips that Amy doesn’t want them to make another baby, leading a confused Tate to wonder if Amy thinks they’re together. Sophia awkwardly hedges and asks Tate about Holly. He hasn’t heard from her since graduation. She relays she saw her helping Doug get ready for his GED, making sure to add they’re getting pretty close.

At the penthouse, Brady seriously faces Rachel on the couch. A chessboard sits on the coffeetable in front of them.

As they loudly bicker, Rachel returns. “Stop fighting!!” she screams and orders them to apologize to each other. After her parents oblige, Rachel suggests they all watch a scary movie together. As they do, Brady stops it at a scary part, suggesting they finish it later, if Rachel wants to stay a couple more nights. Rachel does and invites Kristen to stay as well.

Tate comes home, surprised by the family scene. Rachel invites him to watch the rest of the movie with them tomorrow, and leaves with Kristen to get more popcorn. Alone, Brady catches Tate up on Johnny and asks about Sophia. Tate says she hasn’t had any Braxton Hicks since prom. Not even a twinge.

Alone in her room, Sophia grows uncomfortable while lying on her bed. She stands and doubles over. “Oh my god,” she exclaims. “I think my water broke.” She tells her baby they need to get to the hospital and doubles over again, dropping her phone.

EJ Pulls Some Strings

Chanel visits Johnny in the interrogation room. She notes that Paulina pulled strings to get him arraigned tonight, but grumbles that she didn’t stop his arrest in the first place. Johnny doesn’t blame Paulina for doing her job. In fact, he thinks he should thank her for getting the secret out in the open. It’s been weighing on him. Chanel points out that he walked away without hurting EJ, and that’s all that matters. EJ enters. “I couldn’t agree more.”

EJ enters the interrogation room. With a concerned expression, Chanel reaches across the table for Johnny's hand.

EJ shares that he met with the judge and cleared the way for him to be Johnny’s lawyer. Chanel is vehemently opposed to the idea, pointing out the conflicts of interest. EJ assures her the judge felt otherwise and instructs her to keep her opinions to herself. There’s no better proof of Johnny’s innocence than having his victim as his attorney. Over his wife’s objections, Johnny hires his father as his attorney.

Alone, Chanel reluctantly supports Johnny’s decision. She tells him to focus on making bail, and she’ll make sure his father stays in line. She steps out to the squad room and confronts EJ. Chanel makes her disapproval clear but concedes that having a shark do whatever it takes to get her husband exonerated could be an advantage. However, she advises EJ not to make Johnny choose between them. If he does, he will regret it.

After Johnny’s arraignment, EJ plans to pay his bail. Chanel saunters in, declaring she already did. She casts a smug look at EJ as they head out. EJ stews.

As Chanel leaves the squad room with Johnny, she casts a smug smile over her shoulder.
