Days of our Lives spoilers for Friday, May 16, end the week with Kayla, Steve, and Shawn not just undeterred, but determined to break a few more laws to get their way.
It started with Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) merely wanting to get an as-yet-unapproved medication to help Bo (Peter Reckell) recover. Jeffrey (Michael Dietz) told her he couldn’t give it to her. Remember that whole “as yet unapproved” thing? So Steve (Stephen Nichols) and Shawn (Brandon Beemer) decided to steal it.
Alas, things didn’t go according to plan. (Does anything ever in Salem?) Now they have a new problem. And a question begging to be answered.

On the Other Side of Town
Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier), who claims this is all for Bo and only for Bo, was putting into play his own plan to get his hands on that medication. By buying the University Hospital, which, for the moment, owns all the rights to Jeffrey’s work. It’s why Xander (Paul Telfer) wants it, too. But Philip’s scheme with Kevin, who Philip went to high school with and who now just happens to work in Jeffrey’s lab, also goes awry. (Doesn’t everything in Salem?) And now both are scrambling to cover up.
Meanwhile, Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) would like Xander to be honest with her about his reasons for getting into the hospital business. Considering the size of the secret she’s keeping from him, maybe Sarah should let sleeping lies…lie.
Eat Up
Marlena (Deidre Hall) is worried about a still missing John (Drake Hogysten). Susan (Stacy Haiduk) is worried about the identity of EJ’s shooter. (Where are your psychic abilities now, Susie?) The pair decides to have breakfast together to get their minds off their troubles. It…doesn’t go well. (Does anything ever in Salem?)
