Jake Lockett, who won over Chicago Fire fans as Sam Carver, officially confirmed his emotional departure from the hit series just months after becoming a series regular.
Introduced in season 11 as the fiery new recruit, Carver quickly became a staple at Firehouse 51. But as season 13 looms, it’s time to say goodbye.
In a touching Instagram video, Lockett shared hilarious and heartwarming behind-the-scenes moments with the cast and crew, offering a raw and emotional message to fans:
"While I don’t exactly know what the future looks like, I do know that it won’t be exactly what it was — and I am going to miss the hell out of that," he wrote.
"It’s been an honor bringing Sam to life. Thank you for the love and support over the past three years."
