'Chicago P.D.'s Marina Squerciati Leaves Fans in Stitches With Video of Kim Burgess' Alter Ego

Chicago P.D. star Marina Squerciati left fans in stitches after posting an unhinged video of Kim Burgess' alter ego.

On May 1, the actress, 41, took to Instagram with a clip of herself dressed as Princess Peach from Mario at her daughter's birthday party. She and her husband, Eli Kay-Oliphant, share a daughter born in 2017 and a son born in 2024.

"Being a princess isn't all tea parties n' tiaras...it's also slides n' foam pits," Squerciati captioned the update.

In the video, the mom of two donned the video game character's signature pink dress, a blond wig and a crown. Squerciati also carried a wand and a Mario plush while jumping into a giant foam pit at a Sky Zone indoor trampoline park. Additionally, the actress went down a slide, swung on a hanging tube and posed for the camera while in character.

Chicago P.D. fans immediately appreciated the major departure from Squerciati's decidedly more serious character, Detective Burgess.

In the comments, one Instagram user shared, "I love that your a big kid at heart ❤️❤️ your kids must have so much fun with you everyday 😍😍😍😍."

Another shared, "This is proof that growing up is optional and we love it. 🎉🍑💖."

Someone else declared, PRINCESS MARINA," as a different follower pointed out, "😂😂😂😂😂 looks fun."

Meanwhile, another fan joked, "……Always good to have a backup plan, princessing at kid parties!! 😂."

"I love your energy ❤️❤️❤️," yet another Instagram user commented while someone else wrote, "Marina brings out her inner child 👑 💗."

The previous day, Squerciati posted photos via Instagram from her child's big shebang.

"Do I lean in for my kid's birthday? I do! Will she be mortified one day soon? She will! But today was not that day. IT WAS EPIC! @skyzone," she captioned the carousel of pictures.
