This is a bit too low.
CINCINNATI — Pro Football Focus writer John Kosko ranked all 32 starting NFL tight ends this week. Bengals tight end Mike Gesicki made the list, but he was near the bottom at 27th overall.
Gesicki had the second-best receiving season of his career in 2024 when he finished with 665 yards and two touchdowns.
"The Bengals signed Gesicki a year ago, and he earned his second-highest season-long PFF overall grade (71.5). With another season of catching passes from Joe Burrow, Gesicki is set to benefit from consistent quarterback play for the first time in his career," Kosko wrote.
The ranking seems a tad low, especially because he was ranked behind two rookies that have never taken an NFL snap in Colston Loveland and Tyler Warren.
Alas, Gesicki is arguably the best tight end to play with Joe Burrow in Cincinnati and could take another production leap this fall.
The Bengals signed Gesicki to a three-year contract worth up to $25.5 million in March. Check out PFF's tight end rankings here.
