The NBA Finals have brought a lot of eyes to the city of Indianapolis, with the Indiana Pacers representing the Eastern Conference. We've also seen star-studded crowds throughout the playoffs, and in game six, multiple representatives from the Indianapolis Colts were out to support.
This included Colts head coach Shane Steichen, who was shown on the jumbotron inside of the Pacers' stadium, Gainbridge Fieldhouse. He made the most of his moment and got the Indianapolis crowd hyped up. Many seeing this won't think anything of it, because Steichen doesn't do anything over the top. However, those who follow the Colts, whether as media or as fans, were pretty shocked.

Shane Steichen showed his support for the Pacers at game six of the NBA Finals
Steichen is very levelheaded and isn't one to show much emotion during his media availabilities. Even on the sidelines during game days, he doesn't let out his emotions for the most part. Seeing him get the crowd hyped up for the Pacers was pretty cool. Being a head coach of a professional sports team, I'm sure he was able to respect how large of a stage this is for the Pacers in the NBA Finals.
He blended in well with the Pacers fans in attendance, and his excitement on the jumbotron looked very authentic. It was good to see that side of Steichen shown to the fan base. I think it makes him more personable, and would make fans feel more connected to him as "one of us" in the Indianapolis sports community. Steichen got to see the Pacers pull off a big win over the Oklahoma City Thunder in game six. This now sets up one of the biggest events in all of sports: a game seven in the NBA Finals on Sunday. The winner of the game is crowned champions, and Steichen and the rest of Pacer nation will without a doubt be rooting on the local team come Sunday.
