Colts Projected to Select 104-Catch Weapon for Anthony Richardson in 2025 NFL Draft

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson has shown flashes of becoming one of the NFL's better quarterbacks, but injuries, inconsistency and turnovers have hindered him through two seasons.

Richardson threw for 1,814 yards, eight touchdowns and 12 interceptions with coach Shane Steichen's team last season, highlighting the need for improvement and a better supporting cast.

Recently, the Colts were projected to select one of the most productive college football players in Division-I in this April's NFL draft at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Penn State tight end Tyler Warren.

Warren's potential selection would give Richardson a go-to guy who could flip the script overnight in Indianapolis.

"Anthony Richardson has plenty of weapons at his disposal, but the one thing missing from this otherwise promising offense is a dynamic tight end who can create matchup problems for opposing defenses in the passing game," Luke Easterling wrote in his latest mock draft.

"Warren is a massive, versatile playmaker who can line up all over the field and dominate smaller defenders with his size, and bigger defenders with his athleticism," Easterling added.

The Mechanicsville, Virginia native caught 104 passes for 1,233 yards and eight touchdowns last season as Penn State fell one game short of punching a ticket to the national championship game vs. Big Ten foe Ohio State.

Josh Downs led the Colts with 72 receptions last season, averaging 11.2 yards per catch, a number that Warren bested last season with the Nittany Lions on coach James Franklin's team.
