The 2025 NFL Draft is less than a month away, which means rumors are going to be running wild from this moment on.
That remains true for the Indianapolis Colts, as they've been linked to multiple top prospects. The team holds the 14th pick in the first round, one of which is Penn State's tight end Tyler Warren. According to NFL insider Tony Pauline, the Colts will be one of a few teams attending Warren's private workout ahead of the draft.
Colts set to attend Penn State star TE Tyler Warren's private workout ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft

"Warren’s choice to stand on the sidelines was something I’ve been privy to for a few weeks now. I was told the tight end is focusing on a handful of teams and will showcase his talents for them before the draft.
The New York Jets, Chicago Bears, and Indianapolis Colts were three of the teams named. Since then, I’ve been told the New Orleans Saints and both LA teams have seemingly joined the mix."
- Tony Pauline's insider notes on Tyler Warren
The Colts have a clear need at TE. The team got nearly no production out of the room in 2024. And their leading receiver from the room has already signed elsewhere this offseason, with Kylen Granson heading to the Philadelphia Eagles in free agency.
The Colt met with Warren at the Scouting Combine, but like everyone, they haven't seen the TE work out in person this offseason. He opted out of the on-field portion of the combine and was just a spectator at Penn State's Pro Day. Following the announcement that Warren would not participate in Penn State's Pro Day, a source shared that the TE plans on holding a private workout closer to the draft. And as Pauline mentioned, I have been told the Colts will be one of the teams in attendance.
There has been a lot of added worry in recent weeks that Warren won't be available to the Colts when they are slated to pick at 14. Of the teams mentioned, for example, the Jets, Bears, and Saints all have picks ahead of the Colts. But if the team sees enough at this private workout, maybe it could push them to make an aggressive offer to trade up. Last year, the team notably attempted to move up for Brock Bowers. After seeing his success with the Las Vegas Raiders, maybe they will make sure they don't miss out on their top TE this time around if that is, in fact, Warren and not players such as Colston Loveland and Mason Taylor.
