The Colts made the roster move on Monday.
Indianapolis – The Indianapolis Colts today signed undrafted free agent center Mose Vavao and waived defensive tackle Joe Evans.
Vavao, 6-2, 305 pounds, participated in the Colts' 2025 Rookie Mini-Camp on a tryout basis. Collegiately, he started 54-of-58 career games at Fresno State (2020-24). Vavao registered starts at right guard (34), center (12) and left guard (eight). In 2024, he earned All-Mountain West honorable mention recognition after starting 12 games at center. Vavao was a Second Team All-Mountain West choice in 2023. He also earned All-Mountain West honorable mention recognition in 2022. His name is pronounced MO-say, vah-vah-oh.
Evans, 6-2, 323 pounds, was signed by Indianapolis as an undrafted free agent on May 9, 2025. Collegiately, he played in 45 career games (32 starts) at UTSA (2022-24) and LSU (2019-21) and registered 69 tackles (28 solo), 10.0 tackles for loss and 5.0 sacks. In 2024, Evans started five games and posted five tackles (one solo), 1.5 tackles for loss and 1.0 sack before suffering a season-ending injury.
