Michael Pittman Jr. has become one of the Indianapolis Colts' biggest locker room leaders over the last five years. The team's former second-round selection has also had significant success on the field, recording 4,470 yards and 18 touchdowns.
He has made himself available to young players to help them get accustomed to the team and the league. To kick off this year's training camp, however, he elected to give Colts rookie TE Tyler Warren a rather unique test, which he passed with flying colors.
Tyler Warren proved to Michael Pittman Jr. that he is a team guy by passing his test

The Colts drafted Warren with the 14th pick in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft. Many around the league viewed him as one of the safest first-round prospects in the class due to the belief that his chances of being a bust are minimal. Warren has already started training camp strongly and has caught the attention of coaches and teammates. Pittman Jr. wanted to test the rookie on something else, though he wanted to see if he was "a team guy."
Pittman Jr. asked Warren if he would take him to Meijer to get a coffee maker. Pittman Jr. wanted/needed this, but his car was in the parking lot, and he very much could have driven himself to do this. He wanted to see Warren's reaction, and the rookie didn't hesitate. Pittman Jr. shared that he pulled up in his car five minutes later, and they went to Meijer, and the coffee maker was purchased. The Colts leader now knows Warren is, in fact, "a team guy"; he didn't make the rookie pay for it, though, so I'd say Warren got off pretty easy if this is his biggest rookie task he has to fulfill. However, if I had to guess, that probably won't be the case.
