The One Chicago universe is staying strong — and NBC has officially confirmed which beloved cast members will return for the upcoming seasons of Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D., and Chicago Med. After months of speculation and contract buzz, fans can finally breathe a sigh of relief: the heart of the franchise remains intact.

Over on Chicago P.D., Jason Beghe will return as Hank Voight, continuing his reign as the complex and gritty head of the Intelligence Unit. He’ll be joined by Marina Squerciati (Kim Burgess) and Patrick John Flueger (Adam Ruzek), whose emotional connection continues to anchor the series. LaRoyce Hawkins (Kevin Atwater) also returns, while Tracy Spiridakos (Hailey Upton) is set to appear in her final season — paving the way for what’s expected to be a deeply emotional exit arc.

Chicago Fire welcomes back Taylor Kinney (Kelly Severide) full-time after his brief absence, alongside returning favorites David Eigenberg (Herrmann), Miranda Rae Mayo (Stella Kidd), Joe Minoso (Cruz), Christian Stolte (Mouch), and Hanako Greensmith (Violet Mikami). With Brett (Kara Killmer) gone, Violet is expected to step up in a major way as the ambulance team reshuffles its leadership.

At Chicago Med, while Nick Gehlfuss has exited, the foundation remains firm with the return of S. Epatha Merkerson (Sharon Goodwin), Oliver Platt (Dr. Charles), Marlyne Barrett (Maggie), and Dominic Rains (Dr. Crockett Marcel). Jessy Schram (Dr. Hannah Asher) also returns, continuing her evolution as a fearless, empathetic physician.

NBC’s confirmation shows a strong commitment to maintaining the emotional depth and interconnected storytelling that keeps One Chicago fans coming back season after season. But with confirmed exits from long-standing characters, the upcoming chapters won’t just focus on familiar faces — they’ll also embrace change, transition, and the next generation of heroes.
