Connor McDavid scores disgusting video game style goal to open game 6

Moments ago, Connor McDavid scored one of the most impressive goals in his entire career, and it came on the biggest stage.

Zach Hyman was tripped up while driving the front of the net, giving the Oilers a powerplay in the first five minutes. The Oilers powerplay is always elite, but early on in a game, can give them a great starting point for the rest of the game. McDavid had the puck, and completely created and executed a scoring chance on his own.

McDavid quickly received a pass and beat a Dallas defender, then executed a perfect toe drag to beat another defender and give himself a prime look in the slot. From there, McDavid made no mistake, and fired the puck on his backhand perfectly past Oettinger.

McDavid's scored plenty of insane goals from individual efforts, but this is as impressive as any - and gave the Oilers a lead in a game which could send them to the Stanley Cup Final. Now if the Oilers can hold onto the lead given to them by McDavid, it will be a key factor in sending the team to the Cup Final for the first time in his career.
