Could Jets Make Shocking Move With RB Breece Hall During 2025 NFL Draft?

Liệu Jets có thể thực hiện động thái gây sốc với RB Breece Hall trong NFL Draft 2025 không?

Running back Breece Hall and the New York Jets could be reaching a tipping point.

Hall is entering the last year of his rookie contract in 2025 and may have a reduced role next season. At the annual league meeting, new Jets head coach Aaron Glenn hinted he wants to give RBs Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis more carries next season.

The 2025 NFL draft also features potential upgrades at RB, including Ashton Jeanty of Boise State. With that in mind, Hall seems like a possible trade candidate.

"Hall is a gifted player who would attract interest if dangled in trade talks," wrote ESPN's Rich Cimini in a story published Sunday. "Perhaps the Jets would consider moving him if Boise State star Ashton Jeanty is available with the seventh pick in the April 24 draft."

Hall seemed to react to the speculation in a post on his X account.

Regardless, it's easy to understand why the Jets would be interested in a highly touted prospect like Jeanty. On his updated big board, Athlon Sports' Luke Easterling rates the 5-foot-9, 211-pounder as his No. 1 RB.

In his final season with the Broncos in 2024, he rushed for 2,601 yards in 14 games, the second most in a season in FBS history. He also won the Doak Walker Award as college football's best RB.

While Hall is talented, he has yet to solidify himself as a top-tier RB. In three seasons with New York, he has never had 1,000 rushing yards. Last season, the 23-year-old averaged a career-low 4.2 yards per carry in 16 games.
