On the August 13 episode of Days of our Lives, EJ explained to Belle that, under hypnosis, he told Marlena that the person who shot him was a “she”. He just didn’t know who “she” was. What if we do?
Round Up the Usual Suspects
Marlena (Deidre Hall) sure seemed shook by EJ’s confession, didn’t she? There has to be a reason why EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) is incapable of recalling which woman pulled the trigger and put a bullet in him. It has to be someone he cares about, and he can’t face the truth. EJ asked Marlena if he thought the culprit might have been Sami (Alison Sweeney). No, no, Marlena swore. It wasn’t Sami. Sorry, EJ, she has to go. Now.
The Other Sister
Marlena’s reaction made EJ worry that the actual shooter might have been Belle (Martha Madison). But we don’t think the mystery “she” was someone EJ has slept with. But we do think it’s a member of Marlena’s family. What if the “she” who shot EJ is Marlena’s step-granddaughter? What if it’s Rachel (Alice Halsey)?
Tiny Terror
Rachel has already almost gotten Ava (Tamara Braun) killed. We know she’s a little psycho in training. And she’s been so, so upset about testifying against Johnny. She didn’t want to do it and was super nervous prior to getting on the stand.
Brady (Eric Marstolf) and Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) assume it’s because Rachel is a delicate, sensitive soul who tears up at the thought of sending her cousin Johnny to prison. But what if the person Rachel is really protecting is herself?
She was mad at Uncle EJ for driving her (also psychotic) namesake grandmother away. And Grandma Rachel did set a wonderful example for her little darling: If someone is in your way, kill ’em. And then play the “I’m just a kid” card.
