Craig Conover Shares 1st Look at Exciting New Business Venture With ‘Southern Charm’ Co-Star

Craig Conover has a new business venture in the works that has nothing to do with pillows or beer—and his partner will be one of his best buds from “Southern Charm.” The Bravo TV personality revealed that he is opening a wedding venue in Charleston, SC, with co-star Austen Kroll.

Speaking with Interview magazine in July 2025, Conover, 36, said, “Southern Charm” fans will be really happy. Austen and I are opening a wedding venue in Charleston, even though we can’t stop fighting with each other all the time.”

Conover said the venue will be “slightly more affordable than a lot of the places” in the area. “It’s an all-in-one location, so you can do your ceremony, your reception, and your afterparty there. Maybe I’ll get my officiant’s license,” he teased.

Conover and Kroll also posted a teaser to Instagram on July 29 to announce the venue, which is called The Waverly. “Big things keep happening… 💍✨” they captioned a clip of them walking through the gorgeous space. “We’re proud to be part of bringing @thewaverlychs to life, Charleston’s newest downtown wedding & event venue.”

Craig Conover & Austen Kroll Have Other Businesses Together

This isn’t the first business the besties have together. Not only do they share the currently on-hiatus “Pillows and Beer” podcast, but they also partnered together to open restaurants in New York City and Charleston. The latter bar, called By the Way, opened in late 2024.

In a statement to Page Six, Kroll said he was “excited” to partner with Conover and Uptown Hospitality Group to “share our idea of the ideal all-day, all-night neighborhood hang; a spot where friends old and new come together on the regular for good food, killer drinks, and great fun.”

Craig Conover Is Unsure If He’ll Get Married at His Wedding Venue

Conover stated he is single months after his split from his former girlfriend, ”Summer House” alum Paige DeSorbo. When asked if he plans to get married at his new wedding venue, he told Interview he’d consider it “when” he finds the right person.

When he was with DeSorbo they talked about marriage a lot, but they didn’t share a wedding vision. While they were never officially engaged, Conover told E! News in 2022 that his ideas for their future nuptials were different than DeSorbo’s.

“Paige’s vision is completely different than mine,” he said. “The reason I ended up moving to the Bahamas for that year or two was because of a wedding I went to in Abaco, and when you got to the wedding, everyone was barefoot…It was just so laid back, and everyone spent a week there.”“I don’t think Paige wants a beach wedding, but she’s OK with it being like a four-to-five-day experience,” he added. “I think her vision is somewhere in Italy.”
