Craig Explains Why He Invested In A Sparkling Cocktail Brand That Isn't Loverboy TUYETNHI

In April, Craig Conover announced his partnership with Spritz Society, a sparkling cocktail brand. Although Craig declared he was "so excited," the Southern Charm cast member's investment in the company came as a surprise to some Bravo fans, given his friendship with Loverboy founder Kyle Cooke.

How to Watch

In a recent interview with Page Six, Craig shared more details on the business move and addressed working with a competitor of Loverboy, which is a beverage company that makes hard teas, spritz, cocktails, and non-alcoholic teas.

Although Craig didn't share how Kyle feels about him working with Spritz Society, Craig noted that his girlfriend, Paige DeSorbo, encouraged him to "have a conversation" with her Summer House castmate before announcing his latest venture.

“I have nothing but respect for those guys and I will always be a Loverboy fan. But guess what? I’m all the way down in Charleston, and I’m on a different show and we’re going to have Spritz down there now,” he explained to Page Six.

In addition to being an investor in the company, Craig revealed he will create his own flavor: "I will have my own can.”

Craig also said he has gained a new appreciation for Kyle's work ethic. “I understand why he’s had to work so hard," he shared. "Because the grind in the alcohol business is extreme.”

Craig Conover offered to invest in Austen Kroll's beer company

In the Page Six interview, Craig also revealed that he previously “offered to buy into” Austen Kroll's beer company, Trop Hop, but Austen "said no." However, the two are hard at work on a different hospitality venture: opening their Charleston bar, By the Way.

In January, Craig told ET that the bar he is opening with Austen is "going to be a really intimate space."

"We put a lot of thought into the design to try and make it as warm and inviting as possible," he continued. "We’re leaning into the local, upscale, tavern vibes, so the menu is going to have elevated bar fare and approachable cocktails."
