It was all Cubs in the team's 14-1 victory over the Marlins on Tuesday.
After suffering a heartbreaking walk-off loss in game 1 on Monday, the Cubs didn't hesitate to even up the series by stomping the Marlins in a 21-hit barrage. Kyle Tucker got things going for the Cubs in the first inning with a solo home run to right field, which was his first of three hits on the day.
That’s what we like to see.

A 1-1 tie held until the sixth inning, when the Cubs loaded the bases with nobody out. Dansby Swanson snapped the stalemate with an RBI single, followed by another from Pete Crow-Armstrong.

Cubs starter Jameson Taillon was able to hold the fish to just one earned run on a solo blast from Nick Fortes. Taillon went seven innings with three walks and two strikeouts, while Chris Flexen pitched two scoreless innings to close out the game.
The Cubs would plate five more runs in the ninth inning when the Marlins brought in a position player to pitch. The 14-1 statement was a nice rebuttal to Monday's loss, where the Cubs blew a one-run lead with two outs and two strikes in the ninth inning. With the victory, the Cubs also have the chance to take their third straight series on Wednesday.
Rookie Cade Horton will take the mound for the Cubs on Wednesday's 12:10 CT affair with Marlins' starter Max Meyer. Chicago then has an off day on Thursday before starting a three-game set with the Cincinnati Reds at the Great American Ballpark on Friday.
