Bachelor Nation got to know and fall in love with Daisy Kent on Season 28 of “The Bachelor.”

While on the show, Daisy opened up about her hearing loss journey and navigating life with a cochlear implant.

Since then, Daisy has loved sharing about her experience to help spread awareness and even wrote a children’s book called “Daisy Doo: All the Sounds She Knew.”

Recently, Daisy visited a children’s hospital in Chicago and was able to read her book to the kids before meeting them.

Daisy shared online about how it was an amazing experience, but there was one moment that broke her heart.

In a new video, she said, “There was this moment yesterday where I completely crumbled inside and I can’t stop thinking about it. This girl at the children’s hospital asked me, she said, ‘Are boys ever mean to you at school or do boys ever pick on you at school?’ And my heart just broke when she said that because I could tell she was asking me because it’s something that has happened to her.”

Daisy went on, expressing her upset and the sweet advice she gave to the little girl.

“It was just the fact that someone would pick on her because of something that makes her different made me really upset,” she shared. “And I told her, I said, ‘You know some people can be mean but the people you want in your life are the ones that are gonna love you and treat you with kindness and love you no matter what. You don’t want those boys that are going to be mean to you.’”

The Bachelor Nation star also talked about why representation is so important and the effect she hopes spreading awareness will have on others.

She said, “That’s the reason why I think it’s so important for kids to see adults and see people that have things that make them unique. For example, a cochlear implant, being in a wheelchair, different things because it’s good for them to be exposed to that and see an adult and see somebody who has been through something that they’ve been through. Or even not, just in some way they can relate to them because then they can see the possibilities and they can see how their life can evolve and how they can move past those mean little boys.”

Daisy captioned her post with a sweet reminder, “This moment broke my heart 💔 reminder that kindness goes a long way & you are beautiful JUST THE WAY YOU ARE ❤️❤️❤️”

We couldn’t agree more. We love seeing the positive impact Daisy has made, and we appreciate her heartwarming advice. And we echo Daisy’s reminder to be kind to others.
