Danielle Staub Reflects on Infamous Book That Exposed Her in RHONJ’s First Season

The early seasons of Real Housewives of New Jersey were magic. Of course, Season 1 contained Teresa Giudice’s epic table flip.

And that table was directed at Danielle Staub. Most of the cast, except for Jacqueline Laurita, wanted to avoid Danielle. All because of a book, Cop Without a Badge, that detailed her alleged criminal past and her life as a stripper and drug user. Now, Danielle is sharing her feelings about the book that helped put RHONJ, and its drama, on the map.

Danielle Staub wanted to discuss the book Cop Without a Badge on RHONJ

Recently, Danielle was a guest on the Straightened Out Podcast. She shared that she felt that she was cast on the show as the “single mess.” Plus, Danielle believed that the other cast members, which also included Caroline Manzo and Dina Manzo, were out to get her. It seems that Danielle wanted to discuss the book, Cop Without a Badge, and tell her side of the story. She reportedly didn’t know that her co-stars were going to expose it in that way. However, when Danielle slammed the book Cop Without a Badge on the table, it activated Teresa. After calling Danielle “a prostitution whore,” she launched that innocent table.

In addition, Danielle slammed Charles Kipp, who wrote the book and likened him to an eight-year-old. She also called him “a jaded ex.” However, Danielle did celebrate her time as a dancer. Remember when Melissa Gorga was accused of being a stripper on RHONJ?

Still, Danielle explained that whenever she sees that book or the table flip, it brings her back to that hard time in her life. In an interesting twist, Dina claimed that the cast didn’t want the book on the show. “It was given to us, and we didn’t even want it as a storyline on the show at all. We felt it was a little too serious to be part of a lighthearted reality show,” Dina said in 2009.

Unfortunately for Danielle, her desire to appear on Season 15 of RHONJ, which is currently paused, looks like it won’t happen. However, we will always have that iconic table flip and fiery argument with Teresa. Good times!
