Daredevil: Born Again's Future Teased by Marvel, New Image Reunites Matt Murdock & Vincent D'Onofrio

Marvel Studios executive Brad Winderbaum addressed the potential future of Daredevil: Born Again, ahead of the Disney+ revival’s 2025 debut. The upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe series will be led by returning stars Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil, and Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin.

Per Comic Book Movie, Winderbaum teased the possibility of Daredevil: Born Again getting multiple seasons, due to the show’s “intricate” New York setting. "I think it's a series that can run for multiple seasons," Winderbaum said. "There's just multiple factions vying for power in really complex ways." In addition, Marvel Studios has also dropped two new stills from the MCU revival. One of the photos provides fans with a preview of a meeting between Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk, which is expected to take place during the first episode.

Winderbaum also continued to hype up the upcoming show’s violent fighting sequences, teasing its darker tone and vibe. He also promised fans to expect a very character-driven story. "I actually don't think the audience is ready for Daredevil: Born Again like, it goes really deep in these characters," he teased. "It is one of the more violent things we've put on screen but it's in service of kind of a greater tragedy that is really compelling."

Daredevil: Born Again hails from showrunner Dario Scardapane, who is executive producing alongside Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Sana Amanat, Chris Ord, and Matt Corman. Joining Cox and D’Onofrio are returning cast members Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, Ayelet Zurer as Vanessa Fisk, and Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/Punisher. The revival will also introduce MCU newcomers Margarita Levieva, Zabryna Guevara, Nikki James, Genneya Walton, Arty Froushan, Clark Johnson, and Michael Gandolfini.

Why Daredevil & Kingpin Won’t Have Many Scenes Together

In a previous interview, Cox explained why Daredevil: Born Again won’t feature many scenes between Daredevil and Kingpin. "With these characters, you have to always feel like, were they to cross paths, they would fight to the death... it would be hugely explosive," Cox said. "So, you have to, in the writing of a show, in the construction of it, you have to limit the amount of time they can be together, or you have to give them real reason for them not to be together."
