Days of our Lives spoilers for Wednesday, July 30, pick up from Sarah’s confusion when Brady announced his son was the father of a baby girl. The child’s doctor is pretty sure she remembers differently.

Sarah Confronts Sophia

Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) has been taking care of Sophia (Rachel Boyd) throughout her pregnancy. (Is she an OBGYN? We don’t think so. She did tell Chanel [Raven Bowens] not to try getting pregnant again. But she also examined Rachel’s [Alice Halsey] stomach ache. And Marlena’s [Deidre Hall] fainting spells. She’s a medical jack of all trades!) Which is why Sarah recalls that Sophia and Tate (Leo Howard) were having a baby boy.

And yet Brady (Eric Martsolf) told her otherwise. Of course, he and Tate never got to see the child (though who can tell with a clothed newborn?). So Sarah decides to question Sophia before she says anything. But, surely, Sarah knows that sonograms aren’t 100% accurate. There really doesn’t seem to be a big mystery here.

Tate’s Crushed by His Choice

Tate signed the adoptive papers Sophia presented him with. He wasn’t happy about it, but he did it. For his newborn “daughter’s” sake. Now, Tate is sad. Holly (Ashley Puzemis) is sad, too. Because if Tate is sad, he’s a bummer to be around. And who wants to date a bummer?

So while Tate mopes, Holly confides in Maggie (Suzanne Rogers). Her grandmother offers stories of her own past. Which had even deeper lows than Holly’s current ones.

Chanel & Johnny Focus on the Future

Chanel and Johnny (Carson Boatman) are trying to hope for the best while preparing for the worst.

In the meantime, Susan (Stacy Haiduk) is eager to share all her premonitions with EJ (Dan Feuerriegel). Surely, Elvis knows they’re as scientifically accurate—more even—than all the latest criminology techniques. Why isn’t he pursuing them to get to the truth?
