Belle and Brady had a deep conversation in the Tuesday, April 8 episode of Days of Our Lives. During their chat, Brady told his sister that he couldn’t judge because he had the same issue and continued working on it daily.

After Brady (Eric Martsolf) broke the bad news to Belle (Martha Madison) that EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) had been shot, the news triggered a pretty deep conversation about Belle and EJ’s toxic relationship. How she tried to get the goods on him by wearing a wire, but in the end, he outsmarted her. He knew what she was up to. And she realized that part of her may have wanted him to figure it out.

Belle said she couldn’t get him out of her system. She couldn’t shake him, so she told her brother about what EJ had said to her: that he would always be in her head, heart, and soul. Despite knowing his many flaws, she cares for him, and because of that, she feels shame.

Brady knew exactly how she felt, and that was why he couldn’t judge her. That’s how it was when he was with Kristen (Stacy Haiduk). The pull was too strong, and even though he knew she had done horrible, vial things and that she was supremely difficult, he couldn’t kick her. Not for a long time. And even now, he has to work every day to ensure he doesn’t get sucked back into her toxic vortex.

Both EJ and Kristen have done terrible things to many people, but especially to members of the Brady/Black family. Yet somehow, Brady and Belle constantly feel the connection they share with The DiMeras. Brady is on the other side of it, but Belle is still knee-deep in the thick of it. Everything she said about her dynamic with EJ sounded unhealthy. Has she hit rock bottom yet? Not quite. Towards the end of the Tuesday episode, she visited the comatose patient in the hospital.

Even now, she’s worried about him even though she knows she should think this is karma for what he’s put almost everybody in Salem through. The sibling bond between Brady and Belle was on display, and it made for some wonderful scenes. Kudos to Eric Martsolf and Martha Madison.
