Days of Our Lives Spoilers: EJ Lies His Way Through the Most Cringe-Worthy Lunch Yet

EJ DiMera gaslit and lied his way through the entire Monday, March 3 episode of Days of Our Lives. Johnny and Chanel needed him to pretend they had family Christian values in order to get the green light to adopt Tate and Sophia’s baby. That’s all in major jeopardy now.

Pre-Lunch

Before the lunch even started, EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) was in full bad-guy mode. He relished the fact that Rafe’s (Galen Gering) short-term memory wasn’t the only thing the CRS-17 obliterated. It destroyed all of his memories. EJ was happy about that because it meant he wouldn’t face any charges. Rafe had amnesia, and as a result, everybody thought he was Arnold (also Galen Gering). The man hasn’t had a moment of peace in months.

Later, Paulina (Jackée Harry) stopped by the DiMera manse and had words with EJ. He rubbed in the fact that he wouldn’t see the inside of a jail for the whole Ava (Tamara Braun) kidnapping crime. Even so, Paulina was not about to give him his job back.

Lunch

Paulina and EJ had to put their animosity aside for Johnny and Chanel’s sake. Johnny (Carson Boatman) and Chanel (Raven Bowens) told them they had to be on their best behavior for this lunch, and Paulina and EJ promised they could make that happen.

Unfortunately, after Amy Choi (Shi Ne Nielson), Sophia (Rachel Boyd), and Tate (Leo Howard) arrived, they could only keep up appearances for so long. Amy seemed like she was buying it, but then everything imploded with the arrival of Gabi (Cherie Jimenez) and Jada (Elia Cantu).

They wanted to know where Rafe was and accused EJ of masterminding the whole Arnold Feniger scheme, which he obviously denied. He even let Jada search the tunnels. Of course, she didn’t find Rafe or any evidence that he had been there. But the damage was done. Their accusing EJ, plus Johnny’s comments about Arnold, didn’t sit well with Mrs. Choi. Sophia, Tate, and she hightailed it out of the mansion, and Amy told them she didn’t think she could approve of Johnny and Chanel as adoptive parents to her grandchild.

It’ll be interesting to see if Amy will leave it there or if she will do some digging on the DiMera backstory.
