Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that the show may have just set up a delivery room tragedy. Will the baby survive the traumatic birth that seems to be in store?
In Days’ June 6 episode, Sophia Choi (Rachel Boyd) did a maternity ward tour with Tate Black (Leo Howard) and Amy Choi (Shi Ne Nielson) at the hospital.
A lot of information was thrown at Sophia about her upcoming birthing experience, so she was pretty freaked out.
In fact, Sophia wound up getting sick due to the video and all the baby-related comments Amy kept making.
Since Sophia ran off to throw up, that says a lot about her level of anxiety here.
Sophia is also reluctant to have Tate in the delivery room and just seems excessively nervous about the whole ordeal.
Are Days writers setting the stage for some trouble?
It’s normal for someone to be anxious in Sophia’s position, especially since she’s a scared teenager who’s never been pregnant before.
That said, soap babies often make pretty traumatic debuts.
All signs point to Sophia and Tate’s little one facing some risks as he or she comes into the world.
Sophia got updates on everything she needed to know ahead of the birth, but it’s hard for her to truly know what to expect.
Anything can happen in the delivery room, so there could be some terrifying moments coming up.
It’s easy to imagine Tate and Sophia bonding over their baby’s fight to survive if the delivery heads south quickly.
Sophia and Tate don’t have adoptive parents lined up for their child yet, so they acknowledged that they’re running out of time.
Perhaps there’s a reason why Tate and Sophia still haven’t picked out a potential adoptive mom and dad for their son or daughter.
This could pave the way for Sophia to pitch the idea of keeping their baby and raising it together.
The baby may pull through in the end, but the close call could strengthen Sophia’s maternal feelings and make her want to raise her child after all.
That could bring some conflict with Tate depending on how he feels about it.
We also haven’t ruled out a paternity curveball since Aaron Greene (Louis Tomeo) is headed back to Days eventually.
Aaron and Sophia had a suspicious off-screen hangout session that could’ve gone further than anyone realizes!
Whatever the case, DOOL’s focus right now is the upcoming delivery and Sophia’s growing concerns.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Tate will continue supporting Sophia through all her worries, but he could develop plenty of his own if the baby’s birth comes with unsettling news.
