Our kids often follow in our footsteps and while some grow up to study the same field as their parents, others set out on ventures all their own. So, it’s safe to say some things just run in the family and when it comes to General Hospital’s Rena Sofer (Lois), well, to say she’s a proud mama is an understatement.
The ABC soap actress posted a photo of her daughter, who she shares with director/producer Sanford Bookstaver, and alerted followers that Avalon is directing her first film.
“Look at my big girl directing her first film in college!” Sofer cheered. “I am so proud of you Avalon and can’t wait to see Jane’s Street and all you do in the future!” However, her superstar mom had one question… “Do I have to audition for you?”
And when it comes to Avalon’s dad, who’s directed numerous shows, including a few from the Chicago franchise, he couldn’t be prouder. “I’m the proudest father in the world!” Bookstaver stated while posting the same pic on his Instagram. “Avalon is directing her first big movie see Jane’s Street at Northwestern University! We are fellow directors!”
Sofer’s pal, former General Hospital fave Vanessa Marcil (ex-Brenda), jumped into the comments to send Avalon a big “yay!” as fans cheered her on as well while sharing stories about their own kids. And we too send Sofer’s daughter our best as she sets out on this new venture!
