The Real Housewives of New Jersey's Dolores Catania shared an update on her relationship with her daughter, Gabby Catania.
Dolores Catania and her daughter, Gabby Catania, live life a bit differently.
While Dolores makes style and beauty a priority in her life, her daughter is a bit more laid back.
"Gabby doesn't even brush her hair. I think she has a puppy in her hair sometimes. I mean, it's a big matted thing. I'm like, what, is that a puppy? Is it breathing?" The Real Housewives of New Jersey mom said with a laugh during a recent interview with The Daily Dish. "Gabby's very, like...she uses the bar of soap for shampoo. She's very into conservation, and I don't know where she comes from, actually."
Dolores added that while Gabby is more casual with her beauty routines, she still took to Dolores' recommendation for a "beauty pass" for some products.
"I work with New Beauty magazine, and you text 'Dolores' to this number and every Friday, you get the chance to buy a product," Dolores shared, noting how users can get "high-end" products for less. "So, now she's been getting into more beauty products. So, that's good. It's a start to kind of a fun thing. You're like, 'Oh, that looks good. I would've never bought that at Sephora. It's $90 at Sephora. Only have to pay $15. Oh, let me try it.'"
Dolores Catania shares more about her daughter Gabby's unique personality
Gabby, who is the oldest child of Dolores and Frank Catania, was always a fierce individual growing up.
Dolores previously spoke about Gabby's unique personality in 2021. “I want to let a lot of moms know out there that if your daughter’s not like you, it’s okay,” Dolores told Page Six. “Like, I wanted Gabby to wear Juicy sweatpants and be a cheerleader, and she had black nail polish and wore skulls on her clothes. She marched to a beat of her own drum—I had to let her be herself.”

Further in the aforementioned interview with The Daily Dish, Dolores shared that Gabby is the only one currently living in the primary home she built in New Jersey. While her son, Frankie Jr., also lived in the home with Gabby, he recently moved in with his now-fiancée, Nicole Perricho.
"She likes living alone," Dolores said. "She says the house stays clean that way. With six dogs and herself. I'm like, 'OK whatever, Gabby.' So then I was kidding around with her last night. I was like, 'Oh Gab, you know, maybe I'll just come back a few days a week and just hang out since you're here alone.' She's like, 'I didn't ask you to do that.' So I'm like, 'I got you.'"
