Dolores Catania says she’s ‘overdue’ for Ozempic after ‘probably’ gaining 20 pounds over summer: ‘Back on it quick!’

Dolores Catania is ready for her next dose of Ozempic — stat.

“I am taking my shot tomorrow,” the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star exclusively told Page Six Wednesday night at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards black carpet from UBS Arena in Elmont, N.Y.

“I’m actually overdue and no, I’m not off it.”

Catania, 53, shared that she spent most of her summer traveling, including to South Africa for conservation work and Lisbon, Portugal for leisure.

However, the lavish trips seemingly came at a cost because the Bravolebrity claimed she put on a few pounds as a result of being out of the country.

“I just got back yesterday. I’m probably 20 pounds heavier than I was before I left,” Catania claimed.

With an apparent urgency to use Ozempic again, she added, “I better get back on it – quick!”

Catania stands by her decision to use the Type 2 diabetes drug for weight loss purposes, as many stars in Hollywood do — albeit publicly or behind closed doors.

“I feel good on it,” the reality star told us. “I’ve done the research, spoke to so many doctors and I haven’t had one doctor personally say to me, ‘It’s bad for you.’”

Catania shared that her boyfriend Paul Connell’s health has greatly improved because of the injections.

“Paul lost 50 pounds and he’s not taking blood pressure medication anymore,” the “Traitors” star said.

Catania was one of the first celebrities to openly admit she takes Ozempic for weight loss, but exclusively told Page Six in April 2023 that it was for medical reasons.

“I’m going through menopause, I have a thyroid issue, I have inflammation and weight is hard to take off,” she explained to us at the time.

“And I work out, and I don’t eat crazy, and I was gaining weight, and it’s a lot of different layers.”

Although Catania has had a positive experience, others have warned against the drug’s side effects.

Sharon Osbourne has said she has gotten too thin after using Ozempic and can no longer put on weight.

More recently, Kate Moss’ younger sister, Lottie Moss, revealed she had to be hospitalized after suffering severe dehydration and going into a seizure as a result of taking a high dose of the drug.

A recent study showed that Ozempic has been linked to 162 deaths in the US.
