Wedding bells are ringing in the Catania household. And, no, not just because Frank Catania is getting married to Brittany Mattessich in just a few weeks. You see, Dolores Catania and Frank's son, Frankie Catania, is now engaged to his girlfriend, Nicole Perricho. And, you can bet we're hearing from Dolores about her son's exciting next chapter in his personal life.
Dolores stopped by Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Wednesday, Feb. 26 where The Real Housewives of New Jersey mom shared that she's "so excited" for her son to marry Nicole.
Also during her WWHL Clubhouse appearance, when Andy Cohen asked if there's now a "double wedding" in the works with Frankie engaged and Dolores' boyfriend, Paul "Paulie" Connell, officially divorced, Dolores shared, "We'll let them have their day."
Plus, she reiterated that marriage is not the ultimate goal for her and Paulie, even now that he's divorced. "We're the same way. it's not the goal, but we're not against it," she said, adding they're focused on "just to be together in peace and harmony."
Dolores Catania reveals her thoughts on son Frankie's fiancée
After Frankie confirmed his engagement, Dolores took to her Instagram feed to share a series of photos from the February proposal and opened up about her son's engagement.
"Can’t find the words to depict how much joy we are all feeling since yesterday," she wrote about the proposal which took place earlier this month. "My little Frankie, with a heart full of love and a lifetime of memories ahead of him, proposed to his amazing girlfriend Nicole and we couldn’t be happier!!"
In late 2024, Dolores confirmed Frankie had moved in with Nicole and spilled some more details about his now fiancée. “She is called the Lip Boss of New Jersey on Instagram. She does injectables. They are beautiful,” Dolores told The Daily Dish. “We went to Portugal, we met the family in Portugal. Her family’s beautiful. She’s the nicest girl. She gets along with [my daughter] Gabby so well.”
What's next for Dolores Catania?
In addition to planning a wedding for her son, she'll be on hand when her ex, Frank, and Brittany walk down the aisle on March 29 in Florida at their upcoming wedding.
"I did help them [for] a while with their wedding plans, but it was postponed because of the storm, one of the hurricanes. They got hammered," she told The Daily Dish previously. "Frank's wedding was gonna be the first one up and running and then it got smashed again, so now we're going to do it on March 29th."
Recently, Dolores was a cast member on Season 3 of The Traitors and, next up, she's admitted to wanting to take some time for herself.
"Since I'm 14, I've been working nonstop. I wanna just do nothing for a couple months and not even think. I was a single mom for years. Sometimes, I worked four jobs. Sometimes things were easier than other times. But I just wanna not have to worry. My kids are in a good place. My dogs are okay. My mom and dad are okay. I just wanna think about nothing for a couple months, so if you wanna circle back with me in January, then I'll be happy to tell you 'cause I'm sure my mind will start thinking again," she revealed late last year.
