Dorinda Medley is setting the record straight after Shep Rose said that the two "hit it off."
The Real Housewives of New York City alum clarified her status with the Southern Charm-er when she appeared on the January 8 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
"The Shep thing! I was both proud and horrified," she said when she heard what the South Carolina native said about their rapport on the November 25 episode of WWHL, which filmed during Bravo Fan Fest in Miami. "We did, but we've always hit it off, Shep and I. We have a very easy to talk to [relationship]. But, listen, I could be his mother."
The Traitors Season 3 cast member then asked host Andy Cohen how old Shep is. When Andy noted that Shep is in his forties, the 60-year-old seemed to take a second to consider their dynamic.
"Oh, he is?" she responded. "But, I mean, Shep is not, sort of — I don't think we — anyway, we just had a sort of easy talk, you know, I don't know. I kind of brought up Hannah [Lynch]. I said, 'I have a daughter, God knows, you should maybe meet her.' But, that went over like a lead balloon with Hannah."
Andy wondered if it maybe also didn't go over well for Shep "because he was looking at you."
"I don't know about that," Dorinda replied.
What did Shep Rose say about Dorinda Medley on WWHL?
While appearing on the "Yachties and Hotties" panel at Bravo Fan Fest in Miami in November 2024, Shep was asked which Bravolebrity has hit on him before.
"I mean, hit on is subjective, but I really kind of hit it off with Dorinda," Shep said before laughing. "I think she was trying to set me off with her daughter by the way, too, so."
"This is delicious," Andy responded.
Dorinda isn't the first RHONY apple holder who Shep has been linked to. Back in 2023, current cast member Brynn Whitfield expressed an interest in getting to know Shep. However, once the two met at BravoCon 2023, they soon realized that they weren't a compatible match.
Since then, Shep has gone on to date former Miss Bahamas Sienna Evans, who appears on Southern Charm Season 10 (though the two are not together anymore).
Is Dorinda Medley dating anyone?
Dorinda has yet to go public with a romance as of late, but she told The Mountains in May 2024 that she's "not closed off" to the concept of a relationship or marriage. "I’m saying ‘yes’ to the universe, and I don’t know what shape or form that’ll come," Dorinda added. "But if it comes in the form of love, I’ll take it.”
