Dorinda Medley addressed Jen Aydin’s “offensive” video at Jersey Mike’s, suggesting that the Real Housewives of New Jersey star should “stay off social media.” The Real Housewives of New York alum also hinted at her time on Peacock’s The Traitors.
Earlier this month, Jen was slammed by fans after she posted a video shading an “80”-year-old woman for allegedly not making her sandwich fast enough on New Year’s Day at the airport.
“I have no idea what she was thinking. That was so offensive when you watched it,” said Dorinda on Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” podcast. “I mean, for any of us who ever worked in service, or have family and friends that work in service, you couldn’t be any worse.”
She suggested that Jen should “stay off social media” if she can’t determine what posts are “offensive.”
“We’ve all done it, we’ve all filmed something, and whenever you look at it, you’re like, ‘Oh, no.’ I mean, I filmed stuff where something’s in the background or something’s showing that shouldn’t be showing, and I’m like, ‘Ooh,’” said Dorinda, who hinted that Jen should “review [her] videos before [she posts] them.”
“It was a holiday, Jan. 1, a new year, early in the morning. It was like, what time, six in the morning? So you’ve got to figure that poor woman, who was what, 80 or something, was getting up at three in the morning to make a sandwich,” she went on. “It’s just not anything I can understand.”
During Jen’s controversial Instagram video, the star told her fans: “The 80-year-old that was working there, I mean, the amount of time she took to cut that bread was almost as much as we were waiting [in] that line. Jeez.”
She said the employee was “slow.” Jen also called the customer behind her an “a**hole” – after he claimed it was “ridiculous” for her to ask for an additional sandwich after already putting in the order.
Jen told patrons that her husband is a “medical doctor,” and that she herself is a “f**king celebrity.”
Dorinda also addressed her time on the latest season of The Traitors.
“I was so excited to be a part of this show, and I’m so happy that the fans seem to be excited, too,” she said. “We’re a good [cast].”
Season 3 of The Traitors is now streaming on Peacock.
