The RHOA cast member teamed up with Porsha Williams' ex for a major career move.
Drew Sidora will close out 2024 on an exciting note.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta mom returned to Instagram this week to share an update on I Did It to Me — her long-awaited studio album produced by Porsha Williams’ ex-fiancé, Dennis McKinley. Drew posted a video of her and Dennis hanging out in the studio celebrating the project’s fast-approaching release.
“We’re gonna raise a toast. Cheers. OK?” the Atlanta ’Wife said in the November 20 clip. “Big news coming. If you don’t know, now you know. My album is dropping [December 12]. It’s been a year in the making, OK? So when y’all see the finished product, I don’t want y’all to think, oh we just woke up and it just happened. No, it’s been a lot of blood, a lot of sweat, a lot of tears. So we’re celebrating.”
Drew suggested the album was finally completed, as she and Dennis had just wrapped up a listening session. Although she kept details to a minimum, the Chicago native was clearly pleased with the final product and expressed confidence in its success.
“This album is going to win Grammys,” she said with a laugh. “Cheers to the Grammys. I’ve been working on music my whole life. I’ve been nervous to put the album out… this is my first album. Mark your calendars. And get ready for it, I’m going to be dropping visuals, I’m going to be dropping records.”
Drew and Dennis then previewed I Did It to Me’s lead single, “Love for a Minute.” The former described the track as “very heartfelt” and asked fans to share their honest feedback.
“Real tears on that record,” Dennis said after playing the slow-burning R&B cut.
The actress/singer spoke about the album during a recent appearance on Coming on Hot w/ Columbus Short. She reminded fans that she’s been making music for many years and has released several stand-alone singles, including “Already Know” (2002) and “Throw Us Away” (2023), which she performed during the RHOA Season 15 reunion.
“On the next season, you’re gonna see my whole musical journey,” she said about RHOA Season 16. “I’ve been working on music my whole career… I’m still going forward. The music is amazing.
RHOA eSeason 16 will premiere in early 2025. Drew will return to the series alongside Porsha, Phaedra Parks, Kenya Moore, Shamea Morton Mwangi, and Cynthia Bailey. The season will also feature newbies Brittany Eady, Kelli Ferrell, and Angela Oakley.
