The Real Housewives of Atlanta is back for its 16th season, and Drew Sidora is one of the show’s stars. Now, the actress and singer is opening up about the rumors regarding Kenya Moore, how she feels about Brittany “Brit” Eady being on the show, and her relationship with Ralph Pittman.
As fans know, Drew is the only cast member currently on the show who survived the soft reboot. Marlo Hampton, Sanya Richards-Ross, and Sheree Whitfield were all given their walking papers ahead of filming for season 16. Kenya was invited back, but her exposure of explicit pictures of Brit led to her suspension.
Recently, Drew interviewed with Carlos King, who notably produced RHOA and now helms several shows for the OWN network. King has also gained a reputation for his in-depth interviews with reality television stars.
The two discussed quite a bit regarding Drew’s personal life and the show, but one of the most notable moments came when Carlos asked about the Kenya situation. Specifically, it has been said that Drew was the one who gave Kenya the intel on the RHOA newbie. In response to this, Drew said, “I’m so very busy, aren’t I? I mean, I am dating this person, and Dennis, and now what did I go to Kinkos? Did I print them and download? Child, this is a lot. I’m tired. Like this is a lot of just finger pointing and making Drew the scapegoat for other people’s actions.”
She took a bit of a detour and said, “Kenya has gone on record, which by the way I miss Kenya so much because coming from last season into this season, she was like my only friend that I really built a genuine friendship with that I felt comfortable even to share my business with and my vulnerabilities with so I do miss her. She and I talk often.”
Drew continued, “However, the issue is that Kenya didn’t tell anybody what she was up to. No one knew that Kenya was looking up Brit and trying to find things wherever she found them. But no, it was not me, I don’t even know how to do that stuff. I’ve never seen Brit in anything online like that, although I’ve heard about it.”
Carlos then asked what she’s heard specifically, to which Drew responds, “I’ve heard about her having like you know p*rn videos and um you know some of the girls have murmured. A lot of the girls have murmured things online, and she tried to scrub the internet and clean it up.” She also said that Brit tried to scrub the internet after the event at Kenya’s salon.
They also talked about the rumors of infidelity in her relationship with Drew. For context, Ralph accused Drew of having an affair with Ty Young, and there has also been talk of him cheating. Fans will recall seasons prior, Drew admitting that Ralph left Atlanta and went to Florida, and she had no idea why.
According to Drew, “Before I ever met Ty, there was so much that happened that at that point, Ralph had moved out of the bedroom. I was speaking with the divorce attorney, he was asking for a divorce, we were in conversations of a separation, and yeah, Ty was there and a great friend. Flirting, yeah, but like at the end of the day, we both have said it was a great friendship, and I’ll still say to this day we’re friends.”
She then said, “Relationships come and go, friendships come and go, and it wasn’t what he was making out to be as far as he wanted this divorce. I was fed up. There was infidelity. There was pain. There was hurt, and I feel like he waited for a reason, and I feel like that friendship was that reason he hung on to, and he’s still hanging on to it because I had an open conversation with him about Ty being a friend. He felt like it was inappropriate, so we didn’t talk anymore.”
Drew went on to say that she thought she and Ralph could reconcile, but alleges that he expressed wanting an “open relationship” and “wanting to have other women.” She then claimed that he cheated and that he wanted a divorce even when they were still living in Chicago. From there, the topic of Brit came up, and Carlos asked for Drew’s thoughts on the controversial newbie.
When asked if she’d be friends with Brit, Drew said, “Honestly, Brit I just I just don’t see it for her here. I think she’s better maybe for like a rags to riches type show, but Housewives, no.”
She added, “I think that she just doesn’t want to live in her truth. As we see all these allegations surrounding her husband and their marriage. She’s just not that girl, you know, I think she’s beautiful. I would never take that away from her, and I thought that we could, you know, after our sit down, but no, it’s a no for me. I think that she’s just not a good fit for this circle of girls. I don’t think she displays the integrity and the honesty and the truthfulness, and she just has a lot going on in her past and with her husband.”
Drew continued to explain her feelings, saying, “She’s just very argumentative. What I mean is that she just comes across very angry. I think that in the Kenya situation, threatening somebody with a weapon like she did, I’ve never dealt with anything like that. You know, coming to work and feeling like someone is just so calm and comfortable throwing around pistol and weapons and the threats that she did.”
They then circle back to Ralph. Carlos asked if Drew felt that he had gaslit her from the start. Drew responded, “That has been my most recent.” After saying that, she broke down crying for a bit before she could finish her thought. She continued to say that she has been questioning this very thing based on his actions. Specifically, she said she’s asked, “Was it ever real?”
One of the last topics that arose was her dating history. She says she dated “the king of the NBA,” but didn’t say who this person was. Many fans believe this is LeBron James. She also says she dated Michael B Jordan when they were much younger. She said, “I’ve never said that out loud publicly, but people that know know.”
Fans can watch Drew on RHOA on Sundays.
