DWTS Backlash Explodes—Fans Furious Over This Week’s Show!

The Dancing With The Stars quarterfinal is underway, with a brand new theme for this week - country music.

Fans have been delighted by the talents of the remaining DWTS contestants Jack Woolley, Danny O'Carroll, Rhys McClenaghan, Kayleigh Trappe, Kevin Dundon and Aishah Akorede as they strut their stuff through the competition.

However, viewers this week have all got a similar complaint about one aspect of tonight's show.

Irish taekwondo athlete Jack made his mark with a Quickstep to Dasha’s 2024 hit Austin (Boots Stop Workin’) alongside his pro dance partner Alex Vladimirov.

Fans at home loved the performance, even suggesting he might be so inclined to leave his sport for dancing.

"Jack Woolley going from strength to strength He might give up that ol boxing in favour of dance," one wrote via X.

Another added: "Jack Woolley has some truly incredible moves. Absolute magic on the dancefloor. The one to beat right now?"

However, a number of people felt that the sportsman was "undermarked" for his performance, and that he should have gotten higher marks.

"I know he was on first, but the undermarking of Jack a majority most weeks is just laughable. The judges try too hard with critiquing him," said one.

"How was that an 8?! 10 all day long, stop undermarking Jack!!!!! when the voting lines open, text JACK to 53125," said another.

"Undermarked" a third said simply.

This week marks the return of the group dances, which sees the six finalists dancing in two groups of three.

In addition to their individual performances, each celebrity and their dance partner will be split into two teams of three for a thrilling dance challenge.

Team Footloose will see Taekwondo athlete Jack Woolley and his partner, Alex Vladimirov, join forces with lip-syncing sensation Kayleigh Trappe and her partner Ervinas Merfeldas and chef Kevin Dundon and his pro dancer Rebecca Scott.

The trio will dance to Kenny Loggins’ 80’s country rock classic Footloose.

Team Timber will comprise of Olympic hero Rhys McClenaghan and his pro dancer, Laura Nolan, teaming up with, former Miss Universe Ireland Aishah Akorede and her pro, Robert Rowiński.

Completing the team is, Mrs. Brown’s Boys actor Danny O’Carroll with, his pro, Salome Chachua. They will get down to Pitbull and Kesha’s country pop anthem, Timber.
