Longtime Dancing With the Stars cast member Julianne Hough is addressing a dating rumor that has been lingering for years. Many fans have long thought that the ballroom pro (who is currently the show's co-host) dated her Season 4 co-star, Apolo Ohno. However, Hough has now confirmed that it never happened.

"I remember being on the show and it was like a whole new universe,” Julianne, 36, said on the June 20 episode of the In Your Dreams podcast. "There’s the whole thing where everybody finds love or hook up on the show. Everybody thought I was hooking up with my partner Apolo. Never in a million years."

Though it was Hough's very first season competing on the show, she didn't let the moment cloud her thoughts and she kept things very professional.

"I was so mature as a kid. I was like, 'No, I have a job to do,'" she recalled.

Hough, who famously dated Ryan Seacrest before marrying (and divorcing) Brooks Laich, didn't hook up with anyone from the show that the public knows about. She's been partnered with Cody Linley and Chuck Wicks, for example, but didn't appear to have any sort of fling with either.

Hough has most recently been linked to Bachelorette alum Tanner Courtad. The pair was seen out on what looked like a dinner date in late 2024.

Just about a month prior, Hough said that she was single.

"Well, you know, I am single and I’m looking for a guy anywhere I can find one," she said on the Nov. 19, 2024, episode of Dancing With the Stars.
