DWTS New Cast Member Leaked: Briar Nolet Joins the Show – But What’s Her Role?

New DWTS Cast Member Apparently Leaked by Theatre Company originally appeared on Parade.

Dancing With the Stars will likely see the addition of a new trained dancer. In a post uploaded by Australian Calisthenics Theatre Company on August 5, Canadian Briar Nolet was said to be joining the cast, though her role (Will she be a pro? Will she be in troupe?) isn't clear.

"ACTC is thrilled to announce the launch of our EPIC Workshops in Melbourne and Adelaide with one unforgettable day in each city," read a Facebook post on the company's page.

"The attendance of our original Guest Presenter, Briar Nolet, has been postponed due to her new role with Dancing with the Stars - meaning we have been able to update this year's format to make it more accessible and affordable for our dance-loving community," the message continued.

Nolet has more than 780,000 followers on Instagram, where she calls herself a "dancer, actress, model" who lives in Los Angeles. Amongst her followers are many of the Dancing With the Stars pros, including Witney Carson, Sasha Farber, Mark Ballas, and Val Chmerkovskiy.

Some fans reacted to the apparent casting leak on Reddit.

"I really don't like this decision at all. Here [we] go again… casting a dancer that isn't trained in Latin Ballroom for a Latin Ballroom show," one person wrote.

"Phenomenal dancer in her own realm, but shocked she’s actually she’s actually been hired even if it’s only for troupe as she’s only just been taking ballroom seriously for over a year now. Those pro connections must’ve helped her out a lot," someone else said.

The full cast of Dancing With the Stars will be revealed on September 3 on Good Morning America. At that time, fans should find out what Nolet's role on the show will be.
