'DWTS' Pro Derek Hough Makes Bold Statement About His Career
Dancing with the Stars (DWTS) pro Derek Hough has had an incredibly successful career thus far. He's won the mirror ball trophy a whopping six times and has danced with some of the biggest names in the business. He's also made his mark as a judge on the show, and he's received countless Primetime Emmy nominations.
Despite all of his success, he remains humble and grateful for the opportunities he's had, and he just addressed his overall career with a powerful Instagram post.
"Some of the most pivotal moments in my career didn't come from the WINS, but from the FAILURES."
Hough continued in the caption, "The stumbles, the rejections, losing an important competition… those were the turning points. Because every time I failed fast, I learned faster. It gave me more FUEL, more FIRE, and more FOCUS to GROW. Don’t be afraid to fall. Speed up the FAILURES, and you’ll shortcut the MASTERY."
This is such an important reminder we all need to hear from time to time. We get so focused on the negative when something doesn't go our way instead of using it as a learning opportunity to help us move forward.
