DWTS Pro Details 'Horrific' Experience Ahead of Season 34

DWTS Pro Details 'Horrific' Experience Ahead of Season 34 originally appeared on Parade.

Longtime Dancing With the Stars pro Emma Slater took to social media on July 9 to share her experience on a Delta flight out of Atlanta, Georgia. The ballroom dancer was on board when things went terribly wrong.

"Been stranded at Atlanta airport for 10 hours and had A HORRIFIC experience with ©delta. Whole plane is furious," Slater captioned a post on her Instagram Stories. "Got turned around twice, once while in the air for over an hour. Two pilots timed out, one while we were number 1 for take off. The air conditioning had broken and people are about to faint it's so bad."

A short while later, Slater shared a bit of an update.

"30,000 views in 1 hour and im not mad because I hope ©delta see this a fix the problem [sic]. The poor pilots had no support, we had 3 pilots and the plane was faulty. Kept us here for 11 hours or more for a 1 hour flight," she said.

It's unknown where Slater was heading on her flight. However, she is expected back in Los Angeles before Season 34 of Dancing With the Stars gets underway. The full cast announcement will take place on September 3 on Good Morning America.

Slater's post is another example of airline trouble — something that many travelers have experienced in recent months. On July 7, for example, CBS News reported that a Delta Airlines flight was forced to make an emergency landing in Fort Myers, Florida, after a battery belonging to a passenger caught on fire mid-flight.

One day later, Fox Business reported that a Delta Airlines flight headed from Madrid to New York made an emergency landing on Terceira Island (near Portugal) after the Airbus A330 experienced engine issues.
