Say it ain’t so! Rylee Arnold confirmed the news fans were all dreading, telling fans that she will not be able to return to the Dancing With the Stars live tour after suffering an ankle injury in Salt Lake City last month. The hope had been that with some rest, Arnold could rejoin the tour before it wrapped. However, those dreams were dashed by a dose of reality provided by the pro herself via doctor advice.
“I just wanted to give you an injury/angle update,” Arnold said in a video posted to her Instagram on April 8. “So, sadly my doctor did not okay me to get back to dancing right now and I will not be returning for the extension of the tour, which is just so sad.”
“I’m going to be resting and healing at this time to make sure that my ankle properly gets healed and returns back to the way it was. I am so sad that I won’t be joining back with the tour, but it’s such a fun show, and I know all of you guys who are going are going to have so much fun. It’s a show that I am just so proud of, so inspired by,” Arnold continued.

Arnold also took the time to thank fans for their continued love and support.
The comments section on Arnold’s post immediately filled with some familiar faces, including her sister, former pro Lindsay Arnold, who replied, “Love you so much!!!”
Meanwhile, the official DWTS Live Tour Instagram page commented, “We love you,” and Brandon Armstrong’s wife, Brylee, also showed her support saying, “You got this Ry!!!”
When Arnold, who has been a pro on Dancing With the Stars for two seasons, originally announced she’d be taking a break from tour, she said her ankle wasn’t “broken, but sprained,” and she was hoping that with some rest, she could come back to the show. Dancing With the Stars troupe member Kailyn Rogers replaced her for her tour performances.

However, with the tour scheduled to end on April 19, 2025, it seems Arnold just couldn’t heal up fast enough to make it back on time.
Arnold and her celebrity partner, Olympian Stephen Nedoroscik, finished fourth in the last season of Dancing With the Stars. The show is a reality TV dance competition series based on the United Kingdom’s Strictly Come Dancing. The series, which premiered in 2005, pairs celebrities with professional dancers. The couples then compete against each other for judges’ points and audience votes. The pair with the lowest combined judges’ points and audience votes is eliminated each week until only one champion remains. That couple is declared the winner and receives the coveted Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy.
ABC has yet to announce a new season of the show, though Season 34 is expected to premiere in September. That’s plenty of time for Arnold to heal up and come back.
