Eagles Sign Ex Raiders Receiver

Unlike last offseason when they shocked the league with the signing of running back Saquon Barkley, the Philadelphia Eagles have not stirred the pot with any major moves. Rather, the offseason has centered on maintaining a few key pieces while solidifying some relative weaker spots before the 2025 work gets underway.

Coming out of this campaign, the Eagles' most notable moves came on the defensive side, re-signing breakout linebacker Zack Baun to a three-year $51 million deal. They have also brought on two former New York Giants in linebacker Azeez Ojulari and cornerback Adoree' Jackson

Frankly, there is not too much to dislike on the offensive side. The move on Barkley more than paid off, the Eagles maintain a stout offensive line and have one of the best young quarterbacks in Jalen Hurts.

Their receiving room is nothing to shrug at either with the dynamic duo of A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith leading the charge. Thursday, however, the Eagles did make a signing to add some competitive depth to the position.

Philadelphia signed wide receiver Terrace Marshall Jr. to a one-year contract, according to NFL media's Ian Rapoport. The former second-round pick by way of the Carolina Panthers gets another chance after spending last season with the Las Vegas Raiders.

Marshall played in seven games, posting a feeble three catches for 41 yards. Joining the Eagles, he will likely compete for a job somewhere low on the receivers totem ball during the offseason.

Brown and Smith make for as lethal of a partnership as any across the league, meaning the greater share of targets on thiss offense are already taken up. Jahan Dotson holds down the No. 3 spot behind those two with Johnny Wilson behind him.

Marshall has the pedigree of being an early round draft pick but has not been able to put it together since coming to the pros. Perhaps a change of scenery and the ability to compete within a winning franchise may help him elevate his game in some way through the offseason.
