Erika Jayne is clearing the air about speculation involving her and “Summer House” cast member Jesse Solomon.
The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star spoke out after rumors surfaced claiming the two had hooked up following a taping of “Watch What Happens Live” in New York City.
On the June 13 episode of her “Diamonds in the Rough” podcast series, co-hosted with fellow Bravo alum Teddi Mellencamp, Erika addressed the gossip directly.
What Really Happened That Night
“First of all, no, the alleged hookup would have taken place, they said, at Watch What Happens Live in New York City after Upfronts,” she said. “I was at home.”
Mellencamp brought up the chatter, saying, “I guess you allegedly made out with Jesse.” Jayne responded candidly: “Was I flirting with two men [at Upfronts]? The answer is, yes, I was. Would I have preferred to take two home instead of one? Yeah.”
Though she didn’t name names, Jayne suggested that Jesse wasn’t the only one she connected with that night. “I can’t. But my point is… for once in a decade, I actually talked to people that we work with, because I’m such a bitch every other time. You know me. But I’m trying to do more social things.”
She added, “I wish I had something exciting to tell you, but I don’t.”
Despite Erika Jayne’s public denial, a source previously told People that there was chemistry between her and Jesse during NBC’s Upfronts in May. The two were reportedly seen spending one-on-one time together at a private cocktail party and were later spotted getting “cozy” on a couch.
“It was the talk of the party,” the insider said. “You could definitely see there was a spark between them.”
Still, Erika maintains nothing happened. In her podcast episode, she also shared her thoughts on Jesse’s co-star Carl Radke, joking that “the taller one is cuter,” but dismissively added, “Who cares? It’s not my problem.”
While the speculation continues online, Jesse Solomon has yet to publicly address the rumors. Meanwhile, Erika has turned her attention to her career. She recently returned from a successful run of concerts in London. “What I do have to tell you is that my London shows were probably better than any sex you could ever have. Very good,” she said on the podcast.
